What have I done today? Well, not a lot.
I woke up at eight thirty three and stayed
In bed for a while, wanting to know what
Had happened in the world, and heard the rad-
io news. Nothing much. Got up and made
Myself clean under the shower. Looked at
E-mails, went shopping, decided to raid
The wine counter. Stood on the welcome mat
At Tania’s house, Josephine seeing that
I was let in. Made sandwiches, a hot
Drink. Then the drive to Flixton, where we said
Hello to Grandad, watched football, and sat
Putting the world to rights. They’ve lost the plot,
We agreed. Then home, and my guitar played.
