579 - Money - if only I had more of it, I wouldn't write this

Money is squeezed from every pore in this
Capitalist society we love.
We’re overcharged for water, heat and whis-
Ky. Shareholders live on the hill above,
Worrying about profit, while we suff-
Er with our aches and pains. They even charge
Huge fees for TVs in hospitals. Love-
Ly. But we want to emulate their large
Lifestyle. They say it’s our fault that our marg-
Ins are so small, or negative. The rec-
Ession bites us hardest. Will we recov-
Er? Only when someone at last takes charge.
Till then it’s chaos, laissez-faire; such bliss
For vulture circling above dying dove.
