A busy time over these next few days
On Tuesday it's a comedy deadline
Must post my script off to the Beeb, delays
Will not be accepted. And not much time
Left to put songs together so that I'm
Able to take part in the 'Not Part Of'
Arts festival in July. It's a shame
To miss these things, but it's also above
The realms of possibility to prove
That you really have anything to say
Or can perform well when you fluff your lines
As I often do, so I'll need enough
Practice to get it right, to reach that blaze
Of happiness that hasn't yet been mine
