The hypocrisy and intolerance
Of some people often seems quite endless
Those awful bankers and politicians
Are very selfish people, while the rest
Of us nice folks aren’t on that same old quest
For money, power or recognition
We’re all quite happy being badly dressed
And pretending that we are having fun
And when we’ve slagged them all off, find someone
Else we can hate, resent, scapegoat. Yes, man’s
An odd creature. Fault finder, now confess
Your own ego trip, and your fear of one
Unlike yourself. Continue with your plans
But don’t look in the mirror at your face
