A change of plan: I’m staying put for now,
Because the buyer has withdrawn his deal,
And circumstances therefore won’t allow
A move just yet; my disappointment’s real.
But on the other hand, I also feel
That this is fate at work, and I should turn
It into opportunity, to steal
This time to write and think: brain cells, let’s burn!
Another good thing’s that I can now earn
Enough to have a holiday somehow,
Taking the wife and kid somewhere that we’ll
Remember, though I cannot yet return.
In any event, I shall make this vow:
To work harder, and to kind fate, appeal.
