Who’d have believed it? I’m all sunburnt - see!
I’ve turned into Tomato Man - look out! -
Although I don’t eat pizza usually,
I look all red now, both inside and out!
We went to two beaches, kept a lookout
For Josephine, who ran off down one beach,
And then ran back up it again, tired out;
Then hid in the café, out of rain’s reach.
With bare feet on stones I climbed: that’ll teach
Me to wear sandals when I’m by the sea,
And not jeans, shoes and socks: I came without
My shorts and swimming trunks too! Now I preach
That taking hours to pack is not silly:
If you rush, there’s something you’ll go without!
