134 - I say, I say, the world is full of grey

I say, I say, the world is full of grey
The sky reveals no pattern or colour
Save one unbroken cloud all through the day
It really could not get any duller.
Add to that external scene my own hair
I’m thinking about dyeing it mid-brown
Dark brown’s too dark, like Elvis at World’s Fair
I’ve been there and done that - I’ve played the clown.
My TV, printer, speakers, phone, remote
My bed and bedroom furniture, grey too
Gordon Brown, no, but Gordon Grey? I’d vote,
No matter how boring you were, for you
The winter sea may be grey, but I’d float
My boat on it. I wish that you’d come too
