Manchester! Living here is so much fun,
Much more fun than a Scouser might assume;
There’s Didsbury and then there’s Withington,
There’s Longsight, Rusholme, Moss Side and there’s Hulme.
In Salford Quays there’s always lots of room
To row your canoe past Old Trafford docks.
There’s lots of sun; it’s not all rain and gloom,
And when it’s cold just wear your woolly socks.
The girls are dressed so cool with bags and frocks
The guys act the fool up in Castleton
And in the bars which will be smoke-free soon
They perch on stools or crowd surf where it rocks.
This place is where they first split the atom
And built the first computer. It’s got va-va-voom!
