164 - Great talkers never listen, they just talk

Great talkers never listen, they just talk,
While listeners are there to nod and smile.
Tread carefully if you go for a walk
In tangled jungles of charm, wit and style.
It starts off equal, but mile by slow mile
You start to fall behind, the pace too hot,
The leaders followed by the rank and file,
Whether they’ve chosen the best route or not.
You wipe the sweat away, losing the plot
As tigers roar and parrots merely squawk,
And monkeys chatter overhead. This trial
By sound and fury ends at Camelot
Where, round the table, to a popping cork,
The lionheart king laughs with the crocodile.
