177 - Been talking to my mother on the phone

Been talking to my mother on the phone.
She wasn’t very well two weeks ago
But, like my dad didn’t, she doesn’t moan.
She just complained that she and Geoff can’t go
Swimming, because the local pool has no
Heating, or not enough, and it’s chilly!
See? She’s still fit and chatty, so much so
She missed her Coronation Street. Silly!
My fault; did I for one moment really
Think talking to my mother on the phone
Could be completed in ten minutes? Doh!
We’ve not called round to see her for nearly
Eight months. Okay, she doesn’t live alone
And didn’t suggest it, but it is time, I know.
