63 - Born in '63, and that's me - Tony

Born in ’63, and that’s me - Tony.
I studied in Manchester, and the rest
Is history? Or mystery, only?
Caressed a fellow student; passed the test.
Two kids, financial skids, no car, no job,
No skills to pay the bills. I fill the time
Until I’m taxman, not relaxing slob,
Earning a wage. Turning the page, and I’m
Now looking at the cooking of the books
By petty crooks, the petty cash, the lies.
A split, some time is bought, then caught by hooks
And fished out by a dish with bright blue eyes.
It didn’t last. The past, the future, merge
Into the present. Pleasant, but submerged.
