79 - The sea party began at three o'tide

The sea party began at three o’tide.
The rumour was some starfish would attend,
So all the minnows and the plankton tried
To gatesplash the event, each with their friend.
A giant clam sat at the shipwreck door
To swallow all the uninvited whole.
Inside, a ray called Charles played piano for
The cool catfish, near the coral atoll.
The octopus shook eight hands all at once;
His brother held four plates and four drinks, too.
The blue whale, lacking confidence to dance,
Ate that greedy octopus with one chew.
Things got out of tentacle (too much brine),
But in a day or two they all felt fine.
