102 - My daughter is a rebel through and through

My daughter is a rebel through and through.
Because her parents argued night and day,
She’s talented at refusing to do
What she is told. Take today’s Christmas play.
She was the lead star carrier, as you know.
But she got in a mood before the start,
Crying just as the play’s about to go.
Of course, she then refused to play her part.
Her mother had to sit on stage with her,
And still she wasn’t happy - bah, humbug! -
Her star forgotten on the floor; no sir,
She wouldn’t stir, despite her mother’s tug.
Of course, back home she sang and danced for us.
She’ll never work again as an actress!
