92 - I find I've less of a sweet tooth these days

I find I’ve less of a sweet tooth these days.
I once scoffed milk chocolate bars by the ton.
Each day, after my sandwich, I’d have one -
Young workers laughing at some new pop craze.
As kids, we’d walk to the nearby sweet shop,
Ten pence burning a hole in our pockets,
To fill little white bags with chews, sherbets,
Mints, lollies, toffee sticks, up to the top.
At school, I left half of the savoury dish,
And rarely ate my greens, creating piles
Of wasted vegetables. But oh! Smiles
Grew wide with chocolate pudding’s answered wish!
Now I prefer a cup of tea to Coke,
And calories are no longer a joke.
